    Article summary

    Before you read!

    It is highly recommended you read the Leadline platform overview and setting up your first positions in the Getting Started section before reading further.

    1. Using the left-hand navigation menu, select Positions. If you are already logged in to Leadline, then click here.

    2. In the upper-right, select the ‘Create a Position’ button.

    3. Give a name to your Position. This could be either a job requisition title (eg. “Registered Nurse - Night Shift II”) or simply a job pool (eg. “Registered Nurse”) depending on how you prefer to use Leadline.

    Draft & Published States

    When your Position is initially created, it is created in a DRAFT state. Similar to writing an email, positions are in a draft mode prior to publishing them for job-seekers to see.

    1. Follow the instructions on the screen to fill out the minimum required information in the ‘Position Information’ section, indicated by the red * symbol. Those fields are;

      • Position Name - The name of the position (as setup in step 3).

      • Company Name - The company which the position is advertised for

      • Position Description - The description of the position, usually a job description about the role you are sourcing for

      • Location - The city, state, and country which the job is advertised. This information is fed to job board dislpay algorithms to ensure targeted advertising

    2. Follow the instructions on the screen to fill out the required information in the ‘Page Assignment’ section, indicated by the red * symbol.

    Once these two sections are filled out, the ‘Publish’ button in the bottom-right will become enabled. This indicates the minimum required information to publish a job has been met. Once you publish a position, you will receive a message with the channel link where candidates can apply. If you want to add more things to the job like job-specific application questions, job-specific source tracking links, and other advanced settings like assigning users to this job, read on.

    Try it out!

    To certify you did everything correctly, click on the channel link and apply to your job using a fake name and email address. If successful, you should receive an email notifying you of a new submission, and your fake candidate information will be added to your Candidates database.
