    Leadline is a complimentary product for your existing Applicant Tracking System (commonly referred to as an "ATS"). This is because we understand most HR teams often require the offer letter process remain in the ATS to standardize the process of converting a candidate in Leadline into an employee at your organization.

    Leadline has a standard interface which is used for all supported applicant tracking systems. Please review the list of supported Applicant Tracking Systems on our website. 

    The interface supports two simple use cases:

        1. Retrieving job data from your ATS.

        2. Sending candidate information from your Leadline database to your ATS.

    Tip

    In Leadline, you can plug multiple Applicant Tracking Systems into your account to manage jobs from multiple systems. This is a great use case for agencies who service jobs across multiple clients, each with differing HR systems.

    About Leadline's position sync behavior with your ATS

    Once connected and enabled, Leadline's ATS integration feature will automatically retrieve updates from your ATS every 24 hours (often in the early morning). This "sync" as we call it, allows the system to retrieve new jobs, closed jobs, and updates to jobs without altering your current job requisition input process in your ATS. 

    Tip

    The sync behavior is one-way, which means Leadline will never alter the job information within your ATS.

    That being said, Leadline also maintains a 1:1 mapping to the job in your ATS. You can adjust job details as-necessary in Leadline for improved advertising purposes - when it is time for a candidate to convert to an employee the Leadline platform will ensure they are directed to the appropriate job from your ATS.

    Position sync configurations

    By default, positions received from a connected ATS are never published, giving you more control over when and how certain jobs are published on your behalf. However, if you would like to get up-and-running quickly, you can setup auto-publish rules that will apply an Ad Template from Leadline to the jobs received by the connected ATS.

    With this setting enabled, all jobs will be published with a single question application (upload a resume) by default. You can always add more questions later and publish updates to the position without altering any of the links and tracking established.

    Candidate sync configurations

    Depending on how you intend to use Leadline, you can setup rules and mappings to either couple or de-couple the process of managing candidates in two systems (one being Leadline, the other being your ATS).

    If your ATS supports it, Leadline has the ability to map your Hiring Stages in Leadline to your Hiring Stages in your ATS. This is a great way to get your team to adopt Leadline if they are already familiar with different processes in your current ATS. You can configure these by using the Map Hiring Stages function:

    Tip

    Candidate sync delivers candidate information to the ATS immediately upon request. However, updates to the candidate status made within the ATS are reconciled during the next daily sync action.

    You can also setup auto-sync rules to send a candidate to your ATS based on reaching a certain Hiring Stage in Leadline. This is a great way to simplify the entire process of reviewing a candidate and getting that candidate quickly to the ATS to begin the offer letter process. As an extreme use case, you could set this value to 'New Submission' to quickly funnel all traffic immediately into your ATS for preliminary hiring team review.
