Why use Leadline in conjunction to Job Boards?

    Article summary

Why your current application process is flawed.

Job boards are a great outlet to advertise your jobs. But in pay-per-click (PPC) pay-per-applicant (PPA) models, they have zero financial incentive to give you quality candidates, leaving you with a stack of resumes and a huge bill - and it’s all thanks to the Easy Apply button.

In fairness to Easy Apply - most job applications on their website are painstakingly terrible. Job-seekers don’t have 60-minutes to fill-out your application when they have been pre-conditioned to apply to dozens of jobs on a weekly basis. So is there a happy-medium?

    That’s where Leadline comes in.

    Why Leadline’s application process?

When you integrate Leadline with a job board, Leadline sits on the other end of the ‘Apply Now’ button. It’s not a one-click application process, but it’s also not a 60-minute application process. Instead, Leadline is meant to be a 5-minutes-or-less application. In other words, a happy-medium.

This 5-minute application does something that Easy Apply doesn’t do - it naturally sheds light on all the people who blindly threw their resumes at you because the job pay rate looked appealing, versus the people that actually show a genuine interest in working for you. In Leadline, this is how we gauge the quality of a candidate.

What you will probably find is that a huge portion of the applications you receive are extremely low-quality. Now with Leadline, instead of asking your hiring team to dig through hundreds of candidates, they can prioritize their time reviewing only the high-quality ones.

About Leadline’s job board integration options.

There are three ways you can integrate Leadline with various job boards:

    1. Job feeds

    2. Paid Job Postings (via eQuest)

    3. Via the job board posting interface (using the ‘Apply URL’ field)

Below is a quick summary of the three options:

    Job Feeds

    Recommended for:

    • Companies that are consistently advertising more than ~10 open roles at a time.

    • Companies that mandate hiring managers to submit job descriptions into their corporate Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

    Pros:

    • Once setup, jobs created or updated in Leadline are automatically synced with the job board every 6-12 hours.

    • You can sponsor jobs from a job feed to an existing campaign using the job board’s dashboard.

    Cons:

    • Setup requires your account manager at the job board to connect the job feed from Leadline to your Employer account.

    Paid Job Postings (via eQuest)

    Recommended for:

    • Companies that are comfortable spending money to post the job to multiple boards with one-click.

    Pros:

    • Post to hundreds of job-boards and get sponsored posting status with dozens of popular job boards.

    • Leadline monitors and tracks applications from the different job boards selected.

    Cons:

    • Though convenient, Pay-per-post is not the most budget-efficient.

    Channel Links

    Recommended for:

    • Companies that are advertising a handful of open roles and are not consistently posting jobs.

    • Companies where hiring managers are actively using Leadline’s interface.

    Pros:

    • Simple setup - copy/paste the URL from Leadline into the ‘Apply URL’ field when using the job board’s posting interface - that’s it.

    Cons:

    • If you haven’t already posted the jobs to the job board yet, you will have to post the same job in two different systems (the job also has to be created in Leadline).
